Before diving into cooking, it's essential to prepare your ingredients effectively. When making Quick & Tasty Chicken Broccoli Delight, uniform cutting is key to ensuring even cooking and enhancing visual appeal. Begin by slicing your chicken breast into bite-sized pieces—this will help them cook quickly and uniformly. Aim for pieces that are about 1 inch in size. For the broccoli, cut the florets into small, manageable pieces while ensuring that the stems are peeled and sliced thinly to maximize flavor. Additionally, prepare your garlic and ginger by mincing them finely to release their aromatic qualities. Having all your ingredients prepped and organized will streamline the cooking process and allow you to focus on achieving the perfect stir-fry.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 carrot, julienned

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (for thickening sauce)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Ingredients: Start by slicing the chicken into thin strips and preparing the vegetables. Wash and cut the broccoli into florets, slice the red bell pepper, and julienne the carrot. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken slices with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it sit while you prepare the vegetables.

Heat the Wok: In a large non-stick wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same wok, add the sesame oil, and then toss in the garlic, ginger, broccoli florets, sliced red bell pepper, and julienned carrot. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are vibrant but slightly tender.

Combine and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the wok. Add the remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Stir everything together. If you'd like a thicker sauce, add the cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce has thickened (about 1 minute).

Finish and Serve: Taste for seasoning and adjust with more soy sauce, salt, or pepper if needed. Once everything is well-combined and heated through, remove from heat. Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
