Ingredients

For the Dough:

2 cans (16.5 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky style)

½ cup granulated sugar

2 tsp cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Apple Mixture:

2 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

½ cup brown sugar, packed

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp lemon juice

½ tsp ground cinnamon

For the Caramel Sauce:

1 cup granulated sugar

6 tbsp unsalted butter

½ cup heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch bundt pan thoroughly with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.

Mix the Sugars and Spices: In a medium bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and 2 tsp of cinnamon. Set aside.

Cut the Biscuit Dough: Open the cans of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Roll each piece into a ball.

Coat Biscuit Balls: In a large bowl, combine the quartered biscuit pieces with the melted butter. Toss the biscuit pieces in the sugar and cinnamon mixture until well coated.

Prepare the Apple Mixture: In another bowl, mix the diced apples with brown sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon.

Layer the Bundt Pan: Start layering the bundt pan by placing a handful of coated biscuit balls at the bottom. Then, add a layer of the apple mixture over the dough. Repeat the layering until all biscuit pieces and apple mixture have been added.

Bake the Monkey Bread: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.

Make the Caramel Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar and butter. Stir constantly until melted and bubbly. Slowly add the heavy cream, continuing to stir. Allow it to boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Drizzle with Caramel: Once the monkey bread has cooled slightly, drizzle the warm caramel sauce generously over the top.

Serve and Enjoy: Pull apart the pieces of the monkey bread filled with delicious apples and drizzled with caramel. Serve warm, and enjoy the sweet, gooey delight!
