Creamy Garlic Chicken and Spinach Skillet

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup spinach, fresh

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.

    Sear the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

        Create the Cream Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze it. Bring to a simmer.

          Add Spinach: Stir in the fresh spinach and cook for about 2-3 minutes until wilted.

            Make it Creamy: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

              Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, allowing them to simmer in the creamy sauce for about 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.

                Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy your creamy garlic chicken and spinach skillet!
