Unlike regular green tea, where leaves are steeped and then discarded, matcha involves consuming the whole leaf, which means you get a more concentrated dose of its health benefits.

Frozen Matcha Yogurt Bites

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder

2 tablespoons honey (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt

Fresh fruit for garnish (like raspberries, blueberries, or slices of kiwi)

Instructions
 

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, matcha powder, honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk the mixture until it's smooth and a vibrant green color. Make sure there are no clumps of matcha.

    Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more honey.

      Line a mini muffin tin or silicone mold with parchment paper for easy removal. Alternatively, mini ice cube trays work well too!

        Spoon the matcha yogurt mixture into each cavity, filling them about 3/4 full. If using, place fresh fruit pieces on top of the yogurt before freezing.

          Gently tap the tin on the countertop to remove any air bubbles and ensure an even surface.

            Place the muffin tin or molds in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely frozen.

              Once frozen, carefully remove the matcha yogurt bites from the molds. If they are sticking, run warm water over the bottom of the mold for a few seconds.

                Serve immediately or store the frozen bites in an airtight container in the freezer. They make for a refreshing snack whenever you need a quick pick-me-up!
