Ingredients

1 package (1 lb) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup pizza sauce

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup mini pepperoni slices

½ cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage

¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough until it is about ¼ inch thick. Cut out circles (approximately 4 inches in diameter) using a cookie cutter or a round pastry cutter.

Assemble the Tarts: Gently place each dough circle onto the prepared baking sheet. Using your fingers, create a slight rim around each circle to hold toppings.

Spread the Sauce: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each dough round, spreading it out evenly while avoiding the edges.

Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Top with mini pepperoni slices, crumbled Italian sausage, and sliced black olives, if using.

Season: Sprinkle dried oregano, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper over the toppings for added flavor.

Bake the Tarts: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the tarts from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm, and enjoy!
