Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cup broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup snap peas

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Beef: In a medium bowl, toss the thinly sliced beef with the cornstarch (if using) to coat. This will help give the beef a nice texture when cooked.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Stir-Fry the Beef: Add the beef to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring until browned, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until just cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables: In the same pan, add the broccoli, red bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright and crisp-tender.

Add Aromatics: Push the vegetables to the side of the pan and add garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Combine: Return the beef to the pan, and pour the teriyaki sauce and soy sauce over the mixture. Stir everything together, ensuring the beef and vegetables are well-coated. Let cook for an additional minute.

Finish with Sesame Oil: Drizzle the sesame oil over the stir-fry and give it a final stir before removing from heat.

Serve: Spoon the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
